Travel With Kids

A wise woman once told me on one of our first trips with Olivia that a vacation with children is not really a vacation, it’s just “parenting in a different location.” Now when she told me this, Olivia was about 6 or 9 months old and still not really sleeping well through the night. Things have gotten easier and toting along less gear for her has made traveling and vacationing much less of a hassle.

I wanted to share my travel tips and our experiences with others to encourage parents with young children not to give up but to keep traveling with your children even if it seems daunting and even if you have tears and tantrums because you are building lasting memories and sometimes, “parenting in a different location” helps reset us just a little so that when we get back home we are all a little more grateful for the things we have and each other.
